I am writing a business plan to start my own photography business and need some Market Research to put in it- I am having a hard time finding some numbers.
Consider focusing on web photography. Website are making more and more use of photos, rather than just graphics, and they need original works with ownership rights or permissions.

The questions involve home health care/personal care and services such as homemaking, meal preparation, yard work, transportation assistance, and respite care. Any ideas where I might find people willing to take this survey?
Big companies run ads saying they will pay $5 for a 10 minute in-person survey. It is amazing how many people will travel to get $5.
You would do best to go to local schools and ask if you could do a survey group in any study hall or library. It would not be a noisy process so you won’t be bothering anyone. The students would be curious and they would participate. You could award one person $5 out of a drawing.

Make a video and put it on the various video sites such as youtube and yahoo videos. Write articles about the benefits of using your product(s) and submit them to the different article directories such as goarticle and ezinearticles. Put up a squidoo lens. Put up a blog such as blogger (free) and submit the blog to blog directories and social networking sites such as digg and facebook. Just a few ways to promote products and all of them are free.

Looking for metrics to quantify the lift a direct mail marketing campaign can achieve when augmented with an Email Marketing campaign.
I’m looking for existing research that’s available, not how to conduct my own.
You have to set it up so a holdout cell of records gets only direct mail. The quantity depends on your overall universe. The other test cells obviously have both direct mail and email. You can then measure the impact in response rates by looking at a cost per lead or other cost-per metric. You need to do it with costs because obviously it’s more money to do both direct mail and email.
I am 24. I play guitars (advanced) and the piano. I am good at programming and puzzle solving. I am pretty much everything a perfect computer geek needs to be. I am planning to start off a company before which I will need to get a feel of how marketing works on the internet. I would like to create niche blogs but I don’t see where I should start and what topic would be ideal for me. Could you suggest a way for me to get things going.
