National: Defining the American Dream and the parallels to my dream and yours!

Forty two years have passed since Dr. King’s death and yet his words still invoke hope whenever they are spoken and many Americans are still brought to tears at seeing a replay of his funeral. Dr. Martin Luther King helped us to overcome our ignorance of one another.

While Dr. King’s message of love and inclusion may endure, it is clear to see that his “Dream” has been only partially realized and celebrated by flawed messengers. Clearly, Beck has become another of these messengers who, even if otherwise intended, is corrupting and perverting the legacy of Dr. King.

I believe that the American Dream is about obtaining your freedom – your familial freedom your individual freedom. Your sense of self has to be owned; And that’s why I do what I do.
