This is great stuff ...
This is great stuff guys. Thank you both so much for laying out that creating online video doesn't need to be ultra complex. Steve, your idea of CDD is awesome! Yes! Make it as easy as possible. I've been experimenting with Keynote over the last few weeks and love the flexibility it offers. Thank you both again for demystifying what for so many people seems to be a huge headache.

Hey James and Steve ...
Hey James and Steve,

Great stuff talked about in this interview. Yes, video marketing has always been viral and with Steve's background, we all can say how it is that he went through a lot of experience and ventures in the field. So applying both networking from offline consulting and video marketing itself, it really would grab the audience stuck at the monitors.

Great video and not to mention the lovely beach view!

Well, just use simple logic (a word most MLMers hate).

If you are not going to sell to the cold market, then you are limited to the warm market, everyone you already know. If you see a product that you think you can make a living by selling to only people you know then you can do it without cold sales of some form. Do the math. Find the commission percentage you will earn, divide that into the income you want, and voilà, you have the total volume of net sales volume you need to accomplish that income. Now just add anticipated expenses and you know exactly what you need to sell. Avoid doing this and you are kidding yourself.

Example - you are selling widgets for $50 each, want to make $10,000/month income, and anticipate $3000/month expenses and earn 40% commission.

Net Sales Volume = $10,000 / 40% = $25,000
Gross Sales Volume = $25,000 + $3,000 = $28,000

Thus, if you want that income, you need to sell $28k worth of widgets, or ($28,000 / $50 ) 560 widgets per month.

If you can do that in your warm market, then go for it.

That is how you assess simple sales targets. Now, you should also know that MLM being set up to be direct selling is a thing of the past. No MLMer EVER likes to talk about personal sales targets that amount to anything but mere minimums.

The very definition of MLM has multiple levels in it. Thus, the focus is far greater on finding layers of sales people in the dream of making it rich by having lots of people under you selling as oppose to actually selling yourself.

You can bet no one who would spam yahoo answers looking for recruits into their business has enough sales ability to sell enough personal volume to make a living. No respectable salesperson would ever need to resort to this cheap style of sales. The bulk of them come off as spin doctors and snake charmers trying to fish out everyone and anyone who just might join up after visiting some ridiculous website.

If you are serious about sales would you want to align yourselves with people who need to spam yahoo answers? Of course not. There are countless respectable sales positions out there and near infinite type of products to sell. You can write your own ticket if you are any good, and you can always learn to become good.
References :
Check out his website www.mymonavie.com/dustin, send me an email and I will have him send you some information.
References :
A.L. Williams did his direct sales without ever making a cold call. Buy the book "Coach", written by him. It can give you some insight. My company gave these books away because it is such a good story. If you are looking, you may wan to consider the company I am with. We have a very simple system that works. I can send you information if you would like, but if not, read that book.
References :
MLM when done right is very successful, or it wouldn't have been around as long as it has. As long as you have good products to sell, and a good compensation plan you have a good company. All of us here answering your question have been in or are in some form of MLM marketing and all of us have something to sell. So choose carefully. Check the company out through the BBB, check its compensation plan, how it networks, and so forth. The one that I am most familiar with is SFI, which is not a typical MLM, but has been around since 1985, in over 200 countries, has 4000 members joining each month, over 600 products and services to sell, free to join, free website to promote, and free training. Most of the work is done on the internet for me, but some do sell offline also. http://www.moreinfo247.com/9088246.5420002/FREE
