How to get easily get tons of customer testimonials

Employing consumer testimonials in all of your marketing materials (sales letters, brochures, website, advertisements, etc.), is one of the most effective  marketing strategies available.

The main reason why testimonials are so critical and beneficial in marketing is that prospective customers are much more likely to believe a client testimonial that praises your product or service than they are to believe slick sales text created by the company that is advertising.

An additional reason why testimonials are such a powerful marketing and sales tool is that they are really similar to a referral. A testimonial is a person telling other individuals that they can believe in your company and that you provide a top quality product and/or service.

Now that you know how valuable client testimonials are, you are probably questioning how you get testimonials from your customers.  Here are four really simple yet very effective strategies you can use to get client testimonials immediately:

1. If you are a new company and you have not made any sales, let several of your good friends try your product or service for free. If they honestly like it, ask them if they will jot down a testimonial that you can use in your marketing. This is very straightforward to do and should immediately get you a number of testimonials.

2. If you are a recognized enterprise and you have produced sales, call your clients and ask them what they like most about the product or service they bought from you. As they tell you, make sure that you are writing down what they are saying. After they are finished praising your product/services, tell them, “wow, that was wonderful! Can I use what you just mentioned as a testimonial?” Almost always the consumer will give you their permission.

3. Mail your clients and say that you are developing new marketing materials and you would really like to include a client testimonial from them. Then ask if they would be generous enough to assist you by emailing you a brief testimonial. If you have a list of at least 100 clients, you should get at least a couple of good testimonials by doing this.

4. Mail your clients a thank you card for doing business with you. In the card say you will be very thankful if they would be generous enough to give you a testimonial by either emailing it to you, faxing it to you, or simply calling you on the phone. 

By executing the above methods, you should easily get 10 strong consumer testimonials. Afterwards, make sure to take advantage of these testimonials and use them in ALL of your marketing materials. By executing this, you will immediately see an increase in response rates and sales from your marketing.
